I remember riding in the JBB van on the way to Cape Cod. Elliot Martin had just put on INTO THE DOJO. I was riding shotgun. At that moment Kal told us all that Kombucha had caffeine in it. Elliot was bummed to hear that. Right then was my first experience listening to what would become one of my all time favorite bands- The Black Seeds. Little did I know that over the next year we would all begin touring together, first in the USA and then for a world-wind life changing tour of New Zealand. All the while Easy Star Records stepped in to spread both bands’ albums helping build the buzz, which the label still does to this day. Big thanks to The Black Seeds, John Brown’s Body, and Easy Star Records for all those great memories. If you have not heard, now is your time to dive into the experience of INTO THE DOJO on vinyl. The album is a game changer and available in limited edition now (here!).
