For this episode, we go back to Aug 24, 2019 when Rootfire published the article titled ⁠”First Listen Double Feature: Cultivated Mind: “No Quarter for Thieves” & “Stashin’ Gold.” ⁠Rootfire often premieres songs for artists which we call a “First Listen. ” However, this particular article premiered two tracks, so we called it a “Double Feature.” The tracks Rootfire premiered are titled “No Quarter for Thieves” and “Stashin’ Gold” from Virginia-based reggae artist, Cultivated Mind.

Artikal Sound System, titled Welcome to Florida, which had been released the previous day.


#3 – Reggae Across the Street with The Elovaters

We rewind back to December 6, 2019, when Rootfire published an article about The Elovaters performing a private show as part of the Folk Across the Street charity series.

The article makes reference to a scholarship fund that the event had raised money for. People interested in donating to the scholarship fund can do so here. In the “Designation” box, users must enter Hagan in the drop-down menu and select “Stacy Moore Hagan Scholarship” to ensure the donation is made to the proper fund.
