Yoga Returns to Rootfire At The Park

Nothing starts off a day of getting down to your favorite tunes like some pranayama breath work. Stretch out and tap in at the second annual Rootfire At The Park with guided yoga practice the hour before the music hits. To keep things in the groove, Dub Massive Sound System will be providing the slow dubs for your flow while Cocoa, FL local Sharon Lacy takes you through a journey of poses.

As a teacher at Bikrim Yoga On The Island, Lacy instructs in an environment typically void of music. Rootfire At The Park gives her a chance to embrace the connection between music and yoga, allowing her to lead participants through deeper rhythmic movements.

“My favorite music to incorporate into my practice is Dub. It has a very tribal, very ancient rhythm. I really get into it.” – Sharon Lacy

Yoga at Rootfire At The Park will be for all ages and skill levels, Saturday and Sunday from 12:15-1:00. Friday session TBA. Miss out on the afternoon yoga? You can find Sharon and others working it at the community massage chair all weekend. The second annual Rootfire At The Park is Nov 10-12 at Riverfront Park in Cocoa, FL. All proceeds go toward Hurricane Irma relief efforts in Cocoa. VIP Passes and Single Day Tickets are available HERE.
