The son of a poor sugar cane farmer who willed his way into Kingston’s legendary studios, ‘Bassie’ – as he quickly became known – began a career that has pushed through racial barriers, political violence and economic sabotage, and is still going strong more than fifty years later. Filmed over several years on four continents, ‘Rich Man’ follows Clinton through a critical period of regrowth, as he overcomes financial hardship and self-doubt to create some of his greatest music to date.
