First Listen: The Elovaters – So Many Reasons

If you’re just hearing about The Elovaters for the first time, you’re about to discover your new favorite band. Their sophomore album Defy Gravity comes out October 26 on Rootfire Cooperative, and we’re thrilled to premiere their new single “So Many Reasons” today.

In this quintessential love song, frontman Jackson Wetherbee’s voice soars with emotion and sincerity, and the lead single gives only a hint at the kind of treasures we’ll soon be enjoying in the rest of the album.

Under the wing of producer Danny Kalb (Beck, Ben Harper, The Green, etc), The Elovaters have made a giant leap forward in the depth and maturity of their music. Their debut album, The Cornerstone, was packed with incredible, memorable songs, but Defy Gravity is simply on another level…intricate and nuanced, full of thought-provoking surprises.

In Kalb’s own words..

“Working with The Elovaters was a dream. Each person in the band brought outstanding and unique musicality. You voltron those six together and you get a really special album. The head of the super robot is Jackson, and he has one of the best voices I’ve ever worked with. The album is beautiful, catchy, and timeless. I can’t wait for people to hear their music.”

So without further adieu, we’re thrilled to share this first listen of the single “So Many Reasons.” You’re going to want to listen to this over and over and over, but don’t take our word for it.

Defy Gravity will be available for pre-order at 9pm PST tonight. Pre-order your copy and receive “So Many Reasons” as an instant download.
