California Roots Presents the inaugural Dry Diggings Festival, September 25-26, 2015, at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, CA.

Begin each day at Dry Diggings with Mimosa Mornings! For those that are 21+ we will be kicking off each morning, bright and early the best way we know how; Mimosas in the morning!

Free Beer Tasting
For those 21+, join our four beer partners Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas Brewing Co, Altamont Beer Works, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. on Saturday 9/26 for two hours of FREE beer tasting. Yes, you read that right…FREE beer tasting!

Beer Pong Tournament
Do you have what it takes to be the Beer Pong King? Then you may want to grab a partner and sign up for the ‘Panning for Gold’ Beer Pong Tournament.

Cornhole Tournaments
It has been said that the game originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in the hills of Kentucky over 100 years ago. The truth is, who really knows! It is however fun, so join us for the Dry Diggings Cornhole Tournament!

The Vendors
We’ve handpicked our vendors so that we have some of the best at Dry Diggings Festival. Providing a wide variety of concessions, that will accommodate everyone, including vegan and gluten free options. As with all our events, we also will have a wide variety of art, clothing and craft vendors. There is sure to be something you’ll love!

Brewery Knowledge Zone
Dry Diggings 2015 is happy to have four incredible beer vendors: Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas Brewing Co, Altamont Beer Works, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Have you ever wondered what hop is? What an IPA is? Or even how beer is made? Brewers use their skills, knowledge, including science, but ultimately their imagination to craft their wonderful creations. The Brewery Knowledge Zone will give a bit of education on the brewery process from the professionals themselves!

The Camping Concession Store
There is nothing like camping, and you don’t realize you forgot something until it’s too late! Don’t worry the Camping Concession store will be open for campers that forgot to bring some essential items.

Rootfire Mixtape 011 celebrates Old Dry Diggings, a boomtown in the Sierra Nevada mountains which rose and fell during the heyday of California’s gold rush. Known today as Placerville, the mountain town will host Dry Diggings Festival September 25-26, a celebration of the California Roots music and lifestyle. In honor of the festival, Mixtape 011 shines a light on some of our favorite reggae riddims and the darker space outside the chorus.
