There’s a lot of nostalgia for the ’80s and ’90s these days. TV shows like Stranger Things have re-awoken that yearning for the aesthetic of decades past. For those of us who grew up in this era there is something comforting about the colors, style and music of our childhood years.
Keeping this throwback spirit alive, ska/punk legends Fishbone have reunited their original lineup to hit the road, bringing their unique combination of goofy, socially conscious horn-driven rock to fans worldwide.
According to bassist and founding member Norwood Fisher:
“It’s absolutely unreal, at this stage of the game, to be reunited as brothers and bandmates! The band feels as if it’s almost firing better than ever.”
This summer, fall back in to the days when MTV actually played music videos, giant festivals like Vans Warped Tour and Lollapalooza toured the nation and people were genuinely excited to embrace the heat of summer in the middle of a mosh pit. Some things haven’t changed, but it’s still always fun to pine a little for the past. And in the mean time, make sure to catch Fishbone on tour in select cities this summer.
